Glenaulin Park Palmerstown
Palmerstown is located on the lip of the liffey valley, to the west of
the city centre and on the south bank of the river. It is the birthplace
of ‘Isolde the Fair’ from the epic story Tristan and Isolde and was
the home of the warrior Morholt. The parish name comes from the
12th century when a hospital was founded by a pilgrim of the
crusades and the area became Baile Phámar or Pilgrims Town.
Our club was founded in 1961 and the people of Palmerstown have
brought success to Pats at all levels. Through the years we have
proved a reliable recourse to both juvenile and senior inter-county
selection panels, and in 2011 our own Liam Rushe received a
hurling all-star award for his contribution to the county. We are a
strong club getting stronger and growing every day. We train and
play in Glenaulin Park.
