Things are winding down now as we come to the end of a very successful year.
Congratulations to Sadhbh Duffy on her selection for the Dublin Junior Premier camógie team. A great talent with a very bright future.
The St Patrick’s GAA Christmas Charity walk will take place on St Stephens’ morning at 11am in Glenaulin Park. All welcome. A donation will be made to the Elizabeth McNicholas Trust.
We are actively recruiting for our U7s girls and boys teams for 2018. Anyone born in 2011 who would like to join these teams please contact Denise Mullins on 086 1591268 (girls) and David O’Hanlon 087 7422646 (boys). Flyers will be in all local schools in early January for any child interested in playing Gaelic Football, Hurling or Camogie with details of all teams, mentors and contact details.
Our U8 boys are holding a Christmas Tree Collection for Recycling on the weekend of January 6 -7th. Text Tom on 087 6614029 or Ken on 087 6595491 to have your tree collected.

There are some changes to our draws over the Christmas period. Our next draw will take place on Saturday night 23 December in the Palmerstown House at 10pm. There will no draw on 31 December, with the next draw after on 7 January, 2018.

Our Christmas Raffle & Social night was held in the Palmerstown House on Friday night. Delighted to see so many people come along and enjoy themselves.
Thanks to our sponsors, those who donated raffle prizes, and particularly our Fundraising Committee who did so much to make the night a success.
Off the field was busy again with the juvenile section finishing off their training this weekend and enjoying their end of season parties.

Our Christmas Raffle & Social night will be held in the Palmerstown House this coming Friday 8th December from 8.30pm. We will be launching our On-Line Lotto and GAA National Draw. Sam Maguire and Special Guests will be present. It promises to be a great night, and all are welcome.
Good news this week with the Club receiving a grant of €31,000 in Sports Capital funding for sports equipment. Well done to everyone who helped secure this funding.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the clean-up of the Clubhouse on Saturday morning, and helping with the Christmas decorations. It looks well at the moment, so lets all play our part in keeping it neat and tidy from now on.
Off the field was very busy with several parties and end of year events going on. Our U9 boys went to the cinema and MacDonalds. Our U14s went Go-Karting, while there was a huge turn-out with over 90 children at the Academy Christmas party on Sunday. All had great fun and enjoyment, and thanks to everyone who made all this possible.
Plenty more to look forward to as well. Our U10 girls Christmas party night is on Wednesday at 7pm.

There was a great turn out for our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday night with plenty of success on and off the field to celebrate this year, including several notable championship wins at all levels. The very best of luck to the new Executive Committee who will now look to take the Club forward and build further on this success.
On Friday night, the Palmerstown Wildcats Special Olympics Basketball Club, supported by St Patrick’s GAA Club, held a very successful fundraising Quiz in the Palmerstown House. The Quiz was to help fund their athletes who have been selected to take part in the Ireland Special Olympics games next summer. Thank you to everyone for their support, and best of luck to all the athletes involved.
There was little activity on the playing front this weekend as matters come to a close for the year. Pride of place goes to our Minor Camógie team (amalgamated with Round Towers) who had a resounding win over Lucan Sarsfields on Sunday morning. Well done to all involved. Their next match is against Cuala away – please check our website for details.

Spectacular weekend for St Patrick's GAA Club Sunday with two superb wins .Firstly a super win for the Minor Footballers in the Shield Final with a brilliant 1 point win over Garda following a last second goal. Well done to all and the best of luck to the lads that finished their Minor career on a high.
Then our U15 Football team made our celebrations a double as they came back to win the their championship Sunday in great style well done to everyone involved, what a great day for the club.
Thanks you to the managers, the players, the parents and supporters and the St Patrick's G.A.A Club. This is what makes a club proud and happy to see the people who make these days possible through their hard work and most of all love of the game reap the rewards of well deserved success.
Thank you to all those who attended First aid course held Saturday in the club. It was well attended and feedback has been very positive. Thanks to our Well being officer Tom O'Connor for organising the day.
Our AGM takes place on Wednesday at 8pm all our members are welcome and are invited to attend.

A great weekend for sport with the bright skies and dry but colder weather. 75 local players attended an advanced training camp held over 2 days during the recent the bank holiday weekend at St Patricks GAA club. The intensive training program run in conjunction with the Dublin County Board was developed by Dublin’s County Development Manager and was delivered by a mixture of current Inter County footballers and Hurlers and GPOs. Among those coaching were Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin Football), Eoghan O’Donnell (Dublin Hurling) John O’Loughlin (Laois Football) Many thanks to all those from the club who helped out over the two days and especially to all the mentors who provided balls and equipment.
Well done to the U9 boys in their final football match of the season against Kevin/Killians. In a tough encounter Jamie and Joel (our newest recruit) won man of the match this weekend, congratulations to all the team.
Huge congratulations to our U13 football team who won their football league with only one loss all year, great achievement for all the boys and the mentors, well done everybody.
U14s had a good win v na dubh gall. 3-10 to 2-09 in a tough but well
contested game. This is the 1st time they have managed to beat this
opposition since they started. Great support from all parents as this team
go from strength to strength.
Well done to our under 15 football team on reaching the championship final
after a very strong performance and super win Sunday morning in Glenaulin,
well done to all the lads and mentors. Thanks to all who came out to watch
them, great to see all the support on the sideline, roll on the final.
In Camogie our new amalgamated Minor team with Round Towers has been
entered for the Minor Camogie Championship. Best of luck to the players and
Managers in same.

A great weekend for our Minor Footballers. Brilliant performance from our Minor football team to take them on to the Shield Final with a 1 point win over Fingallians, great team effort and determination from all the lads, well done all. Looking forward to a great final.
U10's and 12s Camogie team were out Saturday on the pitches training and showing some great potential there. Well done to all.
Our Advanced Training Camp for 12 to 16yrs takes place on 30th and 31st October. The course is run by 4 inter-county Dublin players .With three age groups 12-13s, 14-15 and then 16s. Football, hurling and Camogie are covered in the groups. The course runs from 12-3 each day. You can book your place through our website or on Facebook.

Quieter week on the pitches as the younger juvenile teams start to wind down in their matches.
End of an era for some of our Minor Hurlers Sunday as they played their last minor hurling game for the club. Thanks to all the mentors that have brought them up from The Academy to Minor level and best of luck to the lads as they move on to adult level next year. Great bunch of lads and mentors and have always done the club proud, well done and good luck to all.
Minor Camogie having had their amalgamation agreed for 2017 Championship with Round Towers at Camogie Board meeting await the start date of their campaign. Minor Footballers play their Shield Semi final on the 29th October.
St Patricks Palmerstown GAA is running an advanced training course on Mon 30th and Tues 31st Oct aimed at 12-16-year-old
boys and girls.Courses will be presented by Dublin inter-county players, including Ciaran Kilkenny. Cost €25 for the two days.
Places are limited. This is for the senior tier of the juveniles section age 12 + who don't attend Summer or Easter camps. Click here to book a place or for more info.

A great weekend for our club. Well done to our U16 2B Shield Camogie champions on their win Saturday.St. Pats and Round Towers amalgamated to form an U16 team for the championship in August. In this short space of time these girls have trained and gelled together well. It was a fantastic heart stopping end to end game with a win by 2 points in the end. Congratulations girls you have done yourselves proud.
Well done to our 13s Camogie team on Sunday in their Championship final .They battled hard right though. A win wasn't to be theirs on the day but your achievements to get to a Championship final is something for you all and your mentors to be really proud of as is your club..
Minor Footballers came away with a 5 point win on Sunday. They have now secured a place in the Shield semi final. Well done to the lads.
Another win Sunday for u15 football .A new team brought together for the Championship. They are now through to the Championship Semi final stage .Well done all.
Great turnout this Saturday for an U10 Boys Football Blitz. Our guests Kilmacud Crokes, Good Counsel & Shankill helped to make it a great success. Well done to all involved and especially the players who did the club proud. In our u9s Saturday, two huge performances from Noah & Jayden who were awarded Man of Match for their respective U9 teams against Westmanstown Gaels this morning. Well done lads.
U8s played their Camogie blitz at Good Counsel Sunday. Great play from all the girls. Next Sunday is U8s last football match and football training is on Wednesday.
Well done and thank you to all our Mentors who gave up their time to attend training courses on Tuesday and Friday last week.

A busy weekend for our teams from club. After a fantastic, heart stopping game Sunday St Patrick's U13 camogie team went on to beat Commercials 3-6 to 3-2 to reach the Championship final on the 15th of October. Thanks to all the parents for the support and all the club members who turned up to cheer the girls on.
Minor Footballers drew with O'Dwyers in their Championship match Sunday away.
U15 footballers had a super win over Na Fianna Sunday in their 1st round match of championship.
Another super performance from the u11's team Saturday.They had a great win over Ballinteer St. John's. A great team effort well done to all.
Great match from a much improving U10's Saturday morning with great performances throughout the whole group, plenty of cracking scores from the lads.
U9s had great wins for both U9 teams against Shankill Saturday morning in Glenaulin. Well done to Morgan & new recruit Oisin on their Man of the Match awards.
Well done to our U8s Girls on Sunday against Naomh Olafs who had some great scores and individual performances in their matches. Well done girls keep it up.
Hurling Skills continue for 8 to 12 Year olds, at 6pm each Friday all welcome.

Great weekend for football with plenty of support from St Pats Palmerstown members and friends watching Dublin's All-Ireland win.
Well done to our Minor Footballers on a great win Sunday morning over Whitehall. Final score 2:12 to1:4.
U13 Camogie had a comfortable win Sunday morning over Naomh Fionnbarra in their game. Well done to all.
Super performance from the u11's Saturday with a great win over Crumlin Great team performance all round. Well done boys.
Congratulations to Rayan & Liam on recieving Man of the Match from their team in their u9s match against Stars of Erin Saturday in Glencullen.
Hurling Skills sessions have started back and take place each Friday at 6pm for U8s up to u13 years.

A great weekend in sport for our club.
Our Minor Hurlers played host to a tournament on Saturday morning in Glenaulin. Castleknock, Celbridge, Round Towers and Peregrines were our visiting teams. A great morning was had by all in preparation for our Minor hurlers championship campaign which begins onSeptember 10th. Thanks to all who helped on the day preparing the clubhouse, pitches and of course the catering. Eoin, Patsie , Ken and the players are extremely grateful to you all. Well done.
On Saturday the amalgamated camogie U16 team of Round Towers/St. Pats had their first game. It was a friendly against Whitehall Colmcilles. The team put in a great performance winning out 5g 7p to 2g 6p. The team only got together last week and have had only 2 training sessions. Considering the St. Pats girls have not played competitively all year this is a great result and a testament to their commitment to make this work. A big thank you to the girls and their parents for coming on board with this otherwise 23 girls would have no team and not playing the sport they love.
Congrats to both St Pats U9s teams for a great first of the season match against Cuala yesterday. Special mention to Siabh McWeeney and Conor McHugh who were awarded Man of the Match awards for their fine performances. Well done.
Our Annual Golf Classic takes place this Friday September 1st starting at 2.30pm. All members and our friends throughout Palmerstown are invited to our Golf after event starting at 7.30pm.Tickets for the event cost €20 and include food and entertainment from Austin Carter and Raffle. You can contact Conor Haugh to purchase tickets to event.
Supervalu have kindly agreed to two fundraising bagpacks for our club. The first of these takes place Sept.8,9th next . A timetable for same for teams over 10yrs to under 16yrs will be posted next week.

Our Senior hurlers had a great 3 pt win over Castheknock on Wednesday evening in the Championship.Well done to lads and managers.
Minor hurlers have arranged a tournament on Saturday in Glenaulin. There will be 4 visiting teams at the event. Play starts at 10.30 am and will run up to c.2pm. Any help with catering or setting up pitches would be appreciated. Please leave club carpark free to our visitors if at all possible and come out and support the event. Tournament will use the clubhouse and side pitches.
Our U16s Camogie team have amalgamated with Round Towers for Championship this Autumn. Best of luck to the team and mentors with this amalgamation and in their matches.
Juveniles section are all back this weekend with their matches so all busy again in Glenaulin.
Can I ask that teams refrain from using top end of pitch beside clubhouse to allow pitch time to repair.

St Pats Camogie player Sadhbh Duffy played on the Dublin Minor Camogie team this week when they beat Carlow Wednesday night 3 goals & 11 points to 6 points and they are now into the Leinster Final on July 30th. Fantastic news Sadhbh and well done.
A busy week for St Patrick's Senior hurlers who put in two great performances this week one against Naomh Olafs and then Kilmacud. Unfortunately however they were not to come away with the win in either match.
Congratulations to Cian Mc Grane making the panel for Dublin u17s footballers against Meath on Saturday in the Leinster Football Final.
Camogie adult 7s went well again this week with team coming away with two draws in their games.
We had two very successful Summer camps this year with great numbers attending.The children from all reports had a great time and hopefully picked up some new skills from the coaches. Special thanks to the organising committee on a great job. Maree and Peter and all the coaches did great work for the two weeks ensuring the children got enjoyment from the camp and that all went smoothly. Thanks to everyone who helped behind the scenes and to Mary and Julie who gave up their time to step in.

A great week for camogie in the club through all age groups. St Pat's u13 Camogie player Rachel Walsh played all five games for Dublin Camogie U14's when they won the the C Division Shield beating Tipp 4-3 to 0-4. Great achievement Rachel.
Congratulations to Sadhbh Duffy who was part of the Dublin Minor B Camogie team who beat Meath in the Championship Wednesday with a score of 4-8 to 1-10, of which Sadhbh scored a fab 3 goals. Well done Sadhbh, brilliant performance. Minor B camogie play against Carlow in Carlow Wednesday. Best wishes to Sadhbh from her club.
Our Senior team had a great start to their adult 7s on Thursday winning against Whitehall and Crumlin and coming away with a draw against Cuala. Their next group matches are at 7. 30pm Thursday in Crumlin. All support welcome.
Senior footballers had two matches this week with a brilliant win against Erins Isle on Wednesday. In their match against Round Towers after a strong first half from St Pats, Round Towers took the lead in the second half to go on and win the match.
Minor hurlers had strong performance and super win against St Vincents Sunday morning at home. Well done to the players.
Our Cul Camp took place last week from Monday to Friday with great numbers taking part and enjoying a great week. A big thank you to all the coaches and organisers for all their hard work. The St Pats club camp takes place this Monday 17th to 21st July. All children from age four up welcome and can register on the day.

Well done to the U14 footballers on Monday with their good solid win v Clanna Gael 5-12 to 3-03.
In Camogie congratulations to St Patricks camogie player Rachel Walsh who was selected to play for Dublin 14s on Friday last in an inter-county blitz v Waterford, Cork, Tipperary, Kilkenny Wexford and Antrim.Well done Rachel, St Patrick's G.A.A club is very proud of you and your achievements to date.
On Sunday morning the Minor footballers had a great win at home against Naomh Fionnbarra. Well done lads and mentors.
Our under 13 footballers also had a great win Sunday against O Dwyer's, 11-6 to 7-10, down by 3 with only a few minutes to go and they scored 3 goals in last few minutes to win the game. Great display lads.

Super win for the senior footballers at home against St.Marys Saturday. Final score 5:11 to 2:13. A well deserved second win this week for the Seniors who played St Anne's on 28th and won also.
There was great day Saturday at St. Pats fun day. Good turnout on the day. Thank you to all who helped set up and organise the event. Well done to Emma Ryan & Sadhbh Duffy who were in the Dublin Minor Camogie Trials at the weekend. A huge well done also to the girls who took part in the Gaelic4girls blitz Saturday. They played 3 games in a very warm Moorefield GAA, Newbridge.
The under 9 boys football teams faced Crumlin last week. Both teams won convincingly against two competitive teams. Special mention for Emmanuel Kayode who won many of the match. The U10's had two super games Saturday morning against St. Mark's Football team. They really working hard for each other and deserved their wins. Well done to Josh Nolan on his work to keep the opposition out.
St Patrick's Senior footballers put in a great display against St.Patrick's Donabate coming away with a well deserved win. The lads had committed to supporting our OsKaRs fundraiser but put their football first and sacrificed attending the start of the show. Well done and thank you lads, delighted you got the win.
St. Patrick's G.A.A Club held their OsKaRs fundraiser on Saturday in the Red Cow Morans Hotel. The event was attended by a huge crowd from all over the community. Here the full seven movies our Actors had worked on were shown. Super performance from our U8 girls Sunday morning. Great football from both sides but St Pats girls worked hard to ensure the win.
U13s won again 8-6 to 3-15 against Raheny away on Saturday. Down by 4 points at half time but got 3 goals in the last 5 mins to win it.
Well done to the U10's in their blitz Saturday against Good Counsel and Stars of Erin. Great play by the U9 hurlers in their match against Crumlin. Senior hurlers were in action on Wednesday last against Kilmacud Crokes after a great first half unfortunately Kilmacud came back to win the game.
Well done and congratulations to Oran Christie who was presented with his cheque after his lotto win earlier this week.

U13 boys are continuing their winning form with a great win Thursday evening over Erins Isle. Well done lads and mentors. Well done to the u12 ladies football team in their game against St. Kevins Saturday morning, some brilliant play from their new team members. Our Senior and Junior football teams were unlucky this week with both teams losing their league games.

The Oskars fundraising event started feeling closer this weekend as two of our movies were filmed here in Palmerstown. Crew and actors enjoyed the experience by all reports and we all look forward to seeing the movies at the Red carpet event on June 17th in Red Cow Morans Hotel. Tickets available from actors.

Fantastic play Saturday by the U12 girls scoring 3-9 away to Round Towers in very wet conditions. Well done girls, excellent performance.
Many of these girls helped St Brigid's achieve their semi final win in Glenaulin Wednesday last. They will now go on to play in the final in Croke Park. Well done girls and best of luck.
This week Paul Faughnan finished up as our GPO. We would all like to wish Paul all the best with his new role and to thank him for his many years with us. He has brought lots of our players up through the ages and has coached our mentors to continue this work.

U16s did themselves and their mentors proud and got to their championship final in O'Toole Park on Saturday. They were up against a strong Ballyboden side and kept battling to the end but were unfortunately not to come away with a win. Well done to all.
Another great win for the under 13 football team vs na Fianna 7-7 to 1-6, growing in strength every game. Great 8 point win for the senior Hurlers Saturday evening at home vs Setanta. St.Pat's Palmerstown U10's played out a great entertaining draw Saturday in their hurling match against Naomh Olafs.
Well done to all the Gaelic4girls who have completed their 8 weeks introduction to football with mentor Gill Pickett. Thanks to Denise Mullins, Ciara Blake and Michael Reilly who helped make the programme a success. Thanks to Amy Conroy, Dublin Senior player who presented the girls with their certificates and Jerseys.

Well done on a great win to our junior footballers in their championship match Sunday against st Brigid in Glenaulin. Minor Hurlers had a great win Sunday morning also in Glenaulin with a 15 point win over Lucan Sarsfields. U13 Hurlers had another brilliant win this Saturday against Niamh Olafs at home with a score of 10-2 to 0-0, great team performance. While our U13 Camogie team continued in their winning formula against Kilmacud Crokes with a score of 6-7 to 3-3.
Thanks to Lidl who presented St.Patrick's G.A.A with €500 worth of vouchers as winners in the ladies football competition in our local store. Well done to John Maguire on his €500 win in last men standing.
U16s are in their Football Final on Saturday 20th May in O Toole Park at 2pm against Ballyboden. Best of luck to the team and managers. Please try to go along and support the lads.
OsKars preparations are well underway with training continuing Monday nights. Don't forget to keep June 17th free for a great night out at the awards .

Well done to our U16s on their semi final win against Skerries Harps on Saturday: St Pats 4-12 Skerries Harps 1-7 . They worked hard and came in level at 1-5 each at half time. Adam Lambe who was unlucky to be sent off had been outstanding. In the second half the whole team played with determination and passion to get to their win and well done to all . Our under 14 footballers played Round Towers this weekend and well done as they ran out winners 1-10 to 1-05. Senior hurlers were unlucky against Parnells at the weekend as they lost out by just 2pts in a great game. Sunday St Pats U8 girls played a camoige blitz with Erin Go Bragh& Lucan Sarfield gaa clubs, The girls did really well on a very warm morning playing some great hurling with some fine scores.
Launch night for our Oskars fundraising event was on Friday 5th May at 8pm in the Palmerstown House where movies for the actors were announced for first time. Thank you to all the actors for giving up their time to make Launch night a success and we hope they enjoy now the road to making their films. Actors can still sign up for the event as we still have places so please do come along and enjoy a new experience. Training commences this Monday at the clubhouse. Congratulations to our u14 hurling team, winners of their division of Feile na nGael 2017.
Preparations began early for the competition as St Patrick's G.A.A. club hosted the event. Well done to all as the pitches and clubhouse looked spectacular on the day. While inside refreshments and welcome were in abundance.
The event began with a march of the participating teams led by pipes and drum to the pitches. Following a spectacular display of hurling, that showed a team drive and commitment, St Pat's went on to win all their matches. Leading them to an opportunity to play in the final in Parnell park Sunday where they went on to become Feile winners for 2017 and lift the cup after a superb result in the final against Na Fianna,1-3, 0-1. Well done to the U16s on a great win in their Championship match against Lucan. It was a great team performance full of passion and skill. All their hard work is certainly paying off. Thanks to the senior players who have been giving up time to help with the training. Best of luck to 4 players Darren, Marc, Ryan and Seamus who are involved in the trials for the Dublin development squads on Sunday and Wednesday for U16/U15.
Thank you and well done to Maree O Toole and Paul Faughnan on a very sucessful Easter camp. 150 Children participated in what was by all accounts a great and fun week. Thank you to all the coaches who worked hard and kept the kids active all week.

St Pats Senior Camogie team played in their final on Tuesday. They put in a great performance against Whitehall only losing out by a small margin. Well done to the girls and their managers. The team were back in action Thursday in Glenaulin against St Vincents, securing a draw.
In football congratulations to our Minor football player Cian Mc Grane playing with Dublin u17s against Kerry in Limerick on Easter Sunday.
The under 8 Boys represented St Patricks in the Littlewoods Ireland GAA Go Games series in Croke Park. Following a tour of the dressing rooms the boys got to run out onto the hallowed turf to the sound of the crowd. Well done to all and thanks to Leinster Council and all who helped to make this happen.

Another busy week for St Pats with lots going on.
Well done to Gill and Denise giving their first session in their Gaelic girls programme on Thursday. Lots of new faces welcomed to our club on the evening.
On the field this week.Our U8 girls played Geraldine P Morans showing great skill and playing lovely football in their matchSunday. Under 9s boys played away this weekend against Kilmacud giving a performance to be proud of.
Well done to our two u10 teams in their matches Saturday showing a determined defense on the field
Meanwhile Our U11's lost out narrowly to a very good Scoil Ui Chonail Saturday but gave a great performance.
